Annoucement: Edinboro Universtiy of Pennsylvania: EUP is going to re-start their public astronomy series. It will tie in with the Maize Sunfire Observatory and the new state of the art classroom building just finished on the Edinboro Campus. I will hold the series in one of the state of the art class rooms with complete computer control. By the fall of 2000 we will access Maize Sunfire's Torus RC 20 inch telescope remotely via high speed lines and "observe" with an APOGEE CCD AP7b (512x512) on the computer screen. Check out the Torus Link on the Edinboro Observatory Home page to see what I am talking about: http://www.edinboro.edu/cwis/physics/observ/home.html PARKING: LOOK FOR THE DOME ON COOPER HALL AND LOOK FOR THE NEARBY BUILDING WITH THE GREEN ROOF (THAT IS THE BUILDING; ROOM AR/SC 107). PARKING: You make park adjacient to the new ARTS/SCIENCE CLASSROOM (A GREEN ROOF). The best way to access this parking lot is to drive south on Rt. 99 from the intersection of 99 and 6N. Shortly after passing the front of the campus on Rt.99 (Meadville Street) turn left onto Darrow road. Turn left onto the narrow alley way between the two adjacent dorms. There you will see the Dome on Cooper Hall. The large parking lot is between Cooper Hall and the ARTS AND SCIENCES CLASS ROOM (GREEN ROOF).
